Overview

Why go to Wrexham

Wrexham is the main city of north-east Wales, with around 45,000 people in the built-up area and 135,000 across the county borough. It grew on coal, iron, lead and brewing, and its market heritage lives on in Tŷ Pawb and the weekly markets. Most visitors now come for the football, but the city also makes a great base for two of the best National Trust houses in Wales, Erddig and Chirk Castle, and for the Dee Valley and Llangollen just up the road.
