One of the UK’s most notable bands in recent memory is gearing up for a special performance in Llandudno. Scouting For Girls will take the stage, playing an array of their biggest hits to support the campaign to secure the future of Llandudno Football Club.
The band is set to perform at the Club’s OPS Wind Arena on Saturday, 10th June. In 2022 alone, they performed at 70 festivals and sold out venues across the country. Since their inception in 2005, they have been nominated for Brit and Ivor Novello awards, achieved eight top 40 singles, sold over 2 million records, and accumulated over 500 million streams.
Branded as ‘Llandudno Live’, the concert will showcase several up-and-coming artists alongside the acclaimed London pop band, strengthening support for the club in the wake of North Wales Live’s report on its uncertain financial situation.
In October 2022, portions of the club’s 3G pitch were declared unfit for use by Welsh football, significantly affecting the club’s operations and shortening the pitch’s lifespan by three years. The rising cost of living has made procuring a new pitch unattainable for the community club.
