The Secret Garden boutique shop is a hidden treasure in Denbigh’s main town on Vale Street just leading up to the main High Street.
You might have missed it in your previous trips through Denbigh because it really is secreted away through a set of gates and up a steep side drive, away from the distractions of the main street just over the wall.
It gets its name from the way it provides an oasis in the town atmosphere. Just beyond the gates right on Vale Street you ascend a few steps into a hidden garden area with café and shop.

The Secret Garden is first and foremost a garden on several levels with its own pond that trickles in miniature waterfalls over the different garden levels. There is lush greenery and plants everywhere you look in this expertly landscaped area. Tame bunnies run around free on the main lawns near the pond on the top level, you will also find chickens, rosters and fish. These are breeding rabbits and so Secret Garden is also the place to go if you are looking to give an adorable bunny a new home.
Beneath this area you can enjoy teas and ice creams in the outdoor café surrounded by this tranquil and stunning garden. Both levels provide an entrance to different levels of the shop where they specialise in shabby chic furniture and crystals. There is also an astonishing number of great gifts and accessories. If you are headed to a wedding there is the perfect assortment of gifts and in winter the sparkling Christmas gifts come out. In the higher shop section you will find the home and garden collection to spruce up your own home with that ‘secret garden’ atmosphere.
