Our extra-curricular programme puts great emphasis on working in teams, whether on the water or up the mountains, and is designed to broaden our pupils’ horizons and give them the chance to discover themselves through new interests, to make firm friends and to appreciate the environment in which they find themselves.
Sport is an important part of our school life and all the pupils are encouraged to understand the value of and enjoy physical exercise. Equal opportunity, full participation and fair play are emphasised through both team games and individual pursuits.
The splendid indoor and outdoor facilities, many of which are shared with the senior school, Rydal Penrhos, allow us to offer a really broad range of sports to our pupils.
The school regularly participate in and enjoy considerable success at county, regional and national fixtures and tournaments.
The town can be accessed easily by the A55 road, providing an easy link to the North West region and Manchester and Liverpool airports. There is a direct rail link between Colwyn Bay and London Euston, and a good rail service to Holyhead for ferries to and from Ireland.
