Joseph Benjamin is a Chester restaurant and delicatessen owned and run by brothers Ben and Joe Wright.
The concept behind the restaurant is simple – top quality food and drink in a comfortable and relaxed environment, prepared with honesty and integrity and served with care and attention. Open all day, Joseph Benjamin evolves from serving coffee and breakfast at 9am to lunch at 12, cafe again at 3pm and then, on a Thursday, Friday and Saturday, becomes an intimate, candle-lit restaurant and bar.
Passionately averse to the pretentiousness and fussiness of many new restaurant developments Ben and Joe are personally immersed in every aspect of the restaurant – head Chef Joe taking care of all things kitchen-related and Ben managing ‘front of house’ and ‘doing the books’ in his sleep.
Joe and his team put together a short menu of locally and seasonally focussed dishes that changes completely every few weeks and is broadly described as modern-British-European.
