One of the biggest Christmas attractions in Cheshire is back for 2014. Once again the annual Winter Wonderland in Chester City will be bringing visitors from all Chester’s neighbouring towns and beyond.
The Winter Wonderland transforms Chester Racecourse into a magical land of Christmas. It is the best way to enjoy the winter season, get your spirits high for Christmas and stock up on gifts ready for the big day.
There are so many Christmas themed attractions that you are sure to find something to warm your heart in this plethora of festive treats and attractions.
There will of course be fairground rides to keep the kids entertained and most of these will have a Christmas theme too, including the toboggan run, Santa’s Sleigh Ride, the Penguin Boat Ride, Helter Skelter, Snow Globe and more.
If you need a break from the rides, head to the Typhoo Christmas Café and this year for the first time the café will be serving homemade meals, sweets and traditional festive favourites.
Some of the most popular attractions at the Winter Wonderland that should not be missed are the ice rink, Santa’s Grotto, the Alpine bar and the always highly popular Vodka Ice Bar. You can even meet real live reindeer at the Winter Wonderland and the reindeer attraction is totally free.
There will also be a performance stage, the Grosvenor Boulevard, a Christmas Craft Workshop, The Puppet Theatre, the Grosvenor’s Santa Express Train and so much more.
The Winter Wonderland opens on the 14th November and can be visited until Christmas Eve. Opening Times are Thursdays & Fridays 3pm – 9pm, Saturdays 10am-10pm, Sundays 10am-7pm, 22nd & 23rd December 10am-7pm and Christmas Eve 10am-2pm.
