This spring the Vale of Clwyd Race returns to North East Wales!

The Vale of Clwyd Half Marathon was a big hit back in November attracting many wanting to get fit and inspire others to get into sports and running in North Wales. There were many spectators cheering them on too despite the cold so this March we expect an even better turn out with the milder weather and longer days approaching for the next event.

The next race is a 10k run taking place on the 30th of March!

Out Fit are dedicated to spreading running and fitness throughout North Wales. North East Wales is well known for its excellent walking and running areas. With vast swathes of countryside, varied terrain and beautiful scenery it is the perfect destination for runners from all around.

The price for entry into this challenging but very enjoyable race is yet to be confirmed so keep your eyes peeled for updates to the race. The race will begin at noon on the 30th so be early to register.

This race is described as a scenic road race on safe and picturesque country lanes in the visually stunning Vale of Clwyd. The Vale of Clwyd is a deep and beautiful valley in Denbighshire overlooking the Clwydian hills and mountain range. This land basin is simply breath-taking with its forest, farmland and panoramic views. The race should be a good way to challenge yourself for those new to running and looking to get fit. It is a great work out for those more experience and a leisurely and beautiful experience in the countryside for more advanced runners. It is perfectly balanced to appeal to those at a range of running abilities.

The race route is a tight irregular circle around Llandernog and not difficult to follow but please study the route beforehand to avoid getting lost. The route is just East of Denbigh town, West of Mold and just West of Mold Golf club and just North of Ruthin town. This is an excellent way to get out and about in North Wales, promote fitness or cheer on your friends. Do not miss out on Clwyd races as there are several great races throughout the year with many more to come for 2014!
