There is a massive Cheshire event due to take place this month that will make your mouth water. For all the foodies in Cheshire it is time to get ready for the Great British Food Festival 2013!
This September everyone in the region should head to Northwich in Cheshire for a delectable celebration of food. If you love sampling delicious food both foreign and local while having a great day out then this event is for you. The Great British Food Festival is pretty great as the name implies and is one of the largest food festival events in the area.
The food festival will be attracting people and cooks from Chester and all the Cheshire towns to eat, sell, buy, display and compete with their best dishes.
The festival will take place on the 21st and 22nd of September and makes a wonderful start to the autumn months for all of us in the area. There is no better way to fight off the increasingly cooler weather than with a magnificent celebration of all things edible.
The event will be held in Arley Hall and Gardens in Northwich Cheshire and you can enter the festival between 10:30am and 5pm on the Saturday and Sunday.
As well as an array of incredible stalls overflowing with amazing food from all around the UK and beyond there will be exciting food competitions such as the Cake Off. If you think your baking skills are up to the challenge then enter your best cake in this competition and win fabulous prizes. There will also be the tense man V food contest which is a food eating contest. Contestants must be brave and put their appetites to the test. If you want to learn more about cooking this is an excellent event to attend as chefs will be giving live cooking demonstrations. If that was not enough there will activities to keep the kids entertained and live music being played throughout the event from local bands in a range of genres.
