The Flint and Denbigh Show is one of North East Wales’ biggest and most popular agricultural shows and it will soon return for 2014. This particular show is much more than just agriculture it has a long history in the local community and over the years has grown and evolved to become a spectacular day long fair encompassing many varied stalls and attractions.
The Flint and Denbigh Show will take place on the 21st of August this year with the gates opening to the public at 8:30am. Every year the Flint and Denbigh Show comes to us for the 3rd Thursday in August bringing with it merriment and activities for the whole family to take part in.
If you have never been to the Flint and Denbigh Show before expect a horde of many large tents filled with contests, food, decorations, demonstrations and many smaller stalls showcasing different groups, businesses and organisations from around the community of Flintshire and Denbighshire. There will be fun fair rides for the children and all sorts of workshops for people of all ages to take part in such as falconry, woodwork and much more.
As well as all the activities there will be an endless choice of food stalls with everything from cotton candy to burgers. There will even be pop up bars, teas and cakes and cafes. Local chefs will be giving cookery demonstrations and local producers will be selling the freshest ingredients and delicacies.
Naturally the main part of the events is the wonderful animals and competitions. Look out for floral contests, vegetable contests, vintage tractors, dog jumping, show jumping for horses, cattle competition and every other kind of farm animal you can image.
Tickets are now available for the Flint and Denbigh Show so buy them soon while supplies last. For those who want to compete or run a stall you will need to act even faster to avoiding missing out on the best agricultural show of the year.
