The World Museum in Liverpool is the go to place in Merseyside and the Wirral for all the best exhibitions from around the globe.
There is only a couple of months left to experience one of their greatest celebrations of the snake species. There is currently an excellent exhibition taking place entitled ‘Snakes Alive’. It debuted on the 19th September this year and will run until the 22nd of February 2015 so there is still a chance to catch this delightful reptilian experience.
Snakes Alive is a free to enter, family friendly exhibition that allows you to discover the slithering secret life of snakes. You will learn how snakes catch their prey, why they shed their skin and see live specimens such as boa constrictors, royal pythons and more.
It is a great opportunity to find out what life is like in countries where encounters with deadly snakes take place in everyday life.
The exhibition also features skeletons and beautiful photographs of snakes. This is a touring exhibition so be sure to pop by while it remains local.
There will be plenty to entertain the children with as they can dress up in snake camouflage and giant games of snakes and ladders.
In addition to all these wonderful features there will also be extra events taking place on various days throughout the exhibition period, including snakey crafts and a chance to hold live snakes.
The World Museum is only a few minutes’ drive from the rest of Merseyside and the Wirral and is located near to the city centre and waterfront.
Throughout the year the museum presents a collection of permeant exhibitions and special touring exhibitions to keep you both entertained and educated. This exhibition is a particularly good one for all young reptile enthusiasts and a great event for the New Year to beat those post-Christmas blues.
