If you are a fan of classical music and looking for some cultural entertainment to enjoy this summer then you will be pleased to hear that the National Youth Orchestra of Wales will be performing in North East Wales this August.
Just a short drive from the majority of North East Wales towns is the city of St Asaph where the Youth Orchestra will be performing for us very soon.
On Saturday the 2nd of August at 7:30pm in St Asaph’s beautiful cathedral renowned guest conductor Jac Van Steen will be leading some of Wales’ most talented musicians in an evening of captivating classical music.
Jac Van Steen joins us all the way from Holland for this spectacular demonstrations of the best music from some of North Wales’ finest young classical musicians. This will be an excellent programme consisting of popular classical performances and an exciting new commission from Welsh Composer Christopher Painter.
It is set to be a wonderful evening for all in attendance. Not only is there great music but we could not ask for a better setting. St Asaph Cathedral is a remarkable structure with perfect acoustics and a stirring atmosphere.
There will also be a special element in the performance – Bugles Sang is a tribute to all the brave men and women who lost their lives in the two world wars.
North Wales is truly filled with artist talent and one of the best ways for the most skilled young people to get involved in the arts is to join one of Wales National Youth Arts groups including the National Youth Brass Band of Wales, the National Youth Choir of Wales, National Youth Dance of Wales, the National Youth Orchestra of Wales or the National Youth Theatre of Wales.
There will be further performances from the National Youth Orchestra of Wales around the country and throughout England too but this is a great opportunity to see them locally in North east wales so do not miss out. Tickets are only £14 per person.
