New Street Car Park, Mold, Flintshire, CH7 1NZ
The Mold Food and Drink Festival, held in the charming market town of Mold, Flintshire in North Wales, is the second largest celebration in the area. It will showcase the wide variety of locally sourced, high quality food and drink. Since its foundation, this festival has become increasingly popular and important – only last year it attracted 15,000 visitors from all areas of the country. Many people decide to stay for the whole weekend and explore the amazing countryside.
The two days of the festival are an opportunity for those who are looking for a career in hospitality and food industry but also for the visitors who can learn some new culinary skills during the interactive food workshops or simply watch the inspirational cookery demonstrations and competitions by celebrity and local chefs. This year you can see Bryn Williams, Marcus Bean, Graham Tinsley, Ian Purcell, Jo Beevers and butcher Tomi Jones.
Of course there will be also stalls with loads of local products on offer and live musical performances of all kinds of music during the weekend – pop, rock, folk, jazz – so everyone can listen to the music they like.
The festival is also a great opportunity for local people to meet up with friends and enjoy the lovely atmosphere for the whole family. There will be a lot of activities to entertain the children, such as rides, trampolines, puppet shows and face painting; Spavens, Mold’s popular sweet and party shop, will provide some creative activities so the little ones can’t get bored.
There is disabled access for the site (flat access through, without steps). Mold car parks will be available during the whole weekend (though New Street Car Park will have limited capacity).
