The Art Trail (Helfa Gelf) will be taking over North Wales in September infusing the towns and villages with art and culture. This is a great time to get interested in art in North Wales. Towns across Denbighshire, Flintshire, Wrexham, Gwynedd and Conwy will all be taking part in the remarkable month long event.
The Art Trail offers you a unique opportunity to go inside the personal studios of local artists around North Wales. You can buy their art directly, watch them create their masterpieces and even chat to them about the art.
Every weekend (Friday-Sunday) in September you can enter the studios of talented local artists from 11am until 5pm. This is the biggest open studio event in North Wales.
This is a marvellous opportunity to view the hidden world of the artists’ inner sanctum. You can find out about their inspiration and creative process. The venues are everywhere across North Wales and many of them in the lovely town of Denbigh. You will find the open studios and workshops in gardens, galleries and everywhere in between. Whether you want to buy, chat or observe make sure to follow the trail through North Wales towns and countryside!
Several studios are open in the town of Denbigh. This historic and highly cultural town in the rolling hills of North Wales attracts creativity. You will find seven open studios in the town and surrounding areas. View work from the artists: Wendy Lawrence, Katie Scarlett Howard, Tony Griffiths, Llinos A Rogers, Tara Dean and Yvie Johnson. There are even workshops running in some of the studios such as ‘The Craft of Writing’ and other educational presentations.
This is the eighth year of the Helfa Gelf event and the art trail is a totally free event to enjoy for the whole family.
