If you are looking for a simply delicious event to attend this autumn in the Merseyside and Wirral areas then you are in luck as Liverpool’s Food and Drink Festival is coming this September.
Liverpool’s Food and Drink Festival will take place on Friday the 19th September until Sunday the 21st September. The event will take place in the beautiful Sefton Park and is the perfect event for all ‘foodies’.
This is the biggest food and drink celebration in the area and it is now in its 7th year of being held in Liverpool.
All the restaurants, bars and cafes in Liverpool will be celebrating the best of their food and the region’s most successful producers will also be present to dazzle us with their array of delicacies. The event has been described as ‘Food Heaven’ as Sefton Park will be packed with stalls and demonstrations offering up the freshest produce and the most delicious combinations of flavours.
Over 160 local chefs will be in attendance to create and sell wonderful food for those attending this event.
In the past the Liverpool Food and Drink Festival only took place over two days (the Saturday and Sunday) but now it has been extended to include the Friday evening for a special portion of the event. On Friday the 19th September there will be the opportunity to give a toast to the great establishment that is the British Pub. Traditional pub food will be on offer along with real ales, spirits and fantastic live music too. If you fancy something a bit more ‘high end’ there will be an exclusive ‘fine dining’ experience on offer too or you could go in the other direction and explore the ‘street food’ zone. This is the section of the event to head towards if you love the idea of ‘posh pork pies’, selections of cheeses, olives, coffees, fudge and even liquors.
On the Saturday and Sunday the festival returns to its traditional experience that past attendees will know and love, simply a wonderful mix of great food, drink and demonstrations.

The excitement of this event will then continue past the dates of the festival itself as all week, following the festival, venues across the City will be taking part in food and drink events so that local restaurants can battle it out to see who is best.
