There are few places in North Wales that ooze quite as much history as the iconic ruins of Denbigh Castle and it’s the setting for the sure-to-be excellent Festival of Archaeology this year.
The castle has seen many battles, kings and sieges during its long and illustrious standing and although now derelict and in ruins, it remains as a testament to a bygone era. Many people from afar descend on the castle to take a walk around its grounds and delve into its past so it is the perfect venue for the upcoming event on the 12th of July.
If you have a passion for learning about ancient times, this festival is one that you cannot afford to miss as it is packed with all the attractions that are sure to inspire and delight. In fact it’s not just restricted to Denbigh but there are many events just like this one popping up all over the country!
On the 12th of July from 10.30 until 4pm, you and the family can enjoy a day at the castle that is jam-packed with all manner of workshops and activities. If you would like the youngsters to be educated as well as excited, this is the perfect opportunity to do that.
Ancient crafts, arts and talks from history experts are available at the event with much more to be enjoyed when taking a trip around the castle itself.
