Sadly Christmas is now behind us and the long month of January has started but the good news is we are heading towards the lighter time of year and that means a collection of fresh events for the new season of 2014.

Ellesmere Port welcomes back the farmer’s market as we move away from the festive season and turn towards spring. In preparation for the fresh and green time of year ahead why not head to Ellesmere Port’s renowned farmer’s market and pick up some fantastic local produce to stock your larders full with a bit of healthy living after the over indulgence of the festive season.

The emphasis of the Ellesmere Port farmers market is all about local producers who do everything from scratch whether it is baking their own bread, pickling, growing or crafting.  The farmers market takes places every 4th Saturday of the month but it is different in every season.

Find out what fruit and vegetables are best at the different times of year and what fabulous treats can be made with them.

This season’s session of farmers markets will get underway on Saturday the 25th of January 2014 and the market kicks off at 10am. Be sure to buy delicious cheeses, preserves, breads and much more from the local Ellesmere Port farmers who work so hard to bring us fresh, local supplies. The market usually finishes up around 2pm so be sure to get there early before all the great merchandise runs out.

Head to the market hall every 4th Saturday of the month in Ellesmere Port for a bit of local culture and community this season.

Ellesmere Port has a whole collection of fantastic events throughout the year to entertain residents and tourists alike both in the main time and on the banks of the beautiful canals.
