The Chester Literature Festival is back for 2013 following the huge success that was the 2012 festival!
October welcomes an event of great culture for a chance to see great writers and get your books signed as well as a multitude of events throughout the city in keeping with the literature theme.
The festival takes place from the 14th of October until the 27th of October and is mostly held in the Town Hall although the fringe festival will take place throughout Chester. These are extra events to keep you in the literary mood.
This event is produced by Chester Performs and booking is now open for the Essar Chester Literature Festival events. Most events will last roughly an hour with time after for signing and you must pre book your ticket. Doors normally open about 30 minutes before any event and we suggest you get there a few minutes early so you can find your seat.
So many great writers and personalities will be part of the festival such as Katie Adie, Derek Jacobi, Kate Mosse and many, many more. There are will be so many great events and writers there are almost too many to count. Chester University will also be taking part in this festival.
In addition to all the great core festival events you can enjoy the Fringe Festival of the Chester Literature Event. There will be clubs, meets, workshops, book swaps and many book related activities. You can head to events such as Music of the Night, Chester Fantasy Writing group, Chester Library flash Fiction competition 2013, an End to Modern Slavery and other great events. In fact if you want to host an event in the fortnight of the Literature festival then contact the festival to become part of the action. This will be a jam packed fortnight with a busy schedule of events every day so be sure to keep on top of the programme so you do not miss the events you want to see.
