Car Fest North, the fantastic Northern region car racing event for Children in Need is back for 2013.
Car Fest will take place on the weekend of the 2nd to the 4th of August in Oulton Park in Tarporley. Oulton Park’s race circuit is one of the most loved racing venues thanks to its excellent track and beautiful park scenery. Oulton Park is a former stately home that is now 60 years old this year but has been kept in a wonderful condition for the community.
Car Fest will feature an excellent race sprint and will be led by Chris Evan’s 2013 collection. There will be a parade of one hundred Aston Martin’s to celebrate the 100 years of the car.
There will also be car auctions for the chance to own the car of your dreams. Silverstone Auctions will be in aid of Children in need so as well as a brand new car your money is going to a really important cause. There are car galleries to admire some of the best cars by private owners.
If you fancy getting behind the wheel yourself that is most certainly an option with the ‘Driving Experience’ You can have 10 minute tasters of being a ‘Rally Master’ on the track or be a ‘Mud Master’ in the all terrain 4x4s and there is even an option for the youngsters with 10 minute tasters driving minis for 11 to 17 year olds. These tasters are supervised by an instructor in the vehicle with you at all times.
It is not just the cars that bring spectators flocking to Car Fest. The festival is practically bursting with all kinds of entertainment to raise money for Children in Need. There are three evenings worth of live music with a great line up taking shape.
In addition to cars and music there is plenty of food and entertainment for children and adults with the Food Festival, cakes versus pies competitions and Britain’s Best Food. The best, award winning local produce will be available such as breads, jams, cheeses, meats and cakes. The BugFest and Rainbow Big Top will keep youngest happy all weekend long. It does not stop there with the Asparagus Festival, the Plum festival and much more to keep everyone happy, amazed and well fed.
