Are you looking forward to the upcoming Su Casa Festival at the last bank holiday of May 2017 at Surf Snowdonia, North Wales? We are. We’ve already booked our tickets, and we’re counting down the days until we can enjoy the sun, the waves and some of the most talented DJs at the present moment.
Your eyes might water at the price of the accommodation at Surf Snowdonia for you and those in your group attending Su Casa. You wouldn’t be the first. You might struggle to find accommodation for this upcoming festival, and you wouldn’t be the first. You might find issue with using Surf Snowdonia’s teepees for a good night’s rest. Again, you wouldn’t be the first. You might even want to enjoy something a little more substantial to eat at night than a semi-cooked burger off a van at the grounds. You know how this goes – you absolutely wouldn’t be the first.
Here’s an insider secret: You don’t have to stay at Surf Snowdonia’s grounds in order to get the most out of the festival. The beautiful town of Llanrwst is just 13 minutes away, and has a series of excellent hotels. The Meadowsweet Hotel is a wonderful hotel in Snowdonia and can provide so much for your money. Clean, excellently decorated rooms, attentive service, and of course their own restaurant in Snowdonia which gives you astounding quality food at absolutely bargain rates which are certainly a cut above your typical burger van.
Plas yn Dre is part of the Meadowsweet Hotel, and is a dedicated cottage that can sleep up to 2 people. Hiring this cottage is very reasonable, and will cost you a lot less than 12 individual teepees at Surf Snowdonia – and provide far better levels of comfort. This beautiful farming cottage is large, expansive, and very nicely decorated, even boasting its own field. You don’t have to worry about missing the festival though – as it’s right opposite the Meadowsweet Hotel, it’s exactly the same story. Just a short walk next to the river, and you’re there!
