An example of St Tudno’s fantastically unique decor.

Are you after old school cool in the form of stunning Victoriana? If you’re looking for an authentic seafront hotel in Llandudno this year, we have just the place for you. St Tudno Hotel is where the actual Alice (the figure behind the titled character of Lewis Carroll’s much celebrated classic Alice In Wonderland) actually stayed upon many family holidays to Llandudno almost 200 years ago. The Hotel, in this day and age, is the last standing link to Alice and Lewis Carrol, after the Liddel’s seaside house was demolished in 2008.

The decor and style of the hotel is beyond splendid and this top quality hotel marvellously balances the luxury of a hotel while providing high attention to detail and always addressing the needs of its guests.

Fantastic through and through, the decor is something else. The decor could be described as “old-fashioned” with candles, pretty portraits and flowers weaved throughout the chandeliers of the restaurant, but oddly enough, not old-hat. That’s right. Old-fashioned doesn’t mean old hat.  St Tudno Hotel strikes us as far more than an unintentional replica of old Victorian times.

It’s styled – clean, shiny, and most of all completely unique… and absolutely gorgeous. We can’t help but ponder as we look at this fantastic homage to Victorian grace design, practicality and sensibility, whether or not the Victorians themselves felt this very way about the building when they stayed within it so many years ago.

Furthermore, the service at the St Tudno Hotel is exemplary and without parallel. The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to accommodate your needs, whatever they might be, and happens to be in a fantastic location, on Llandudno’s highly popular North Promenade. Not just a hotel, but a fantastic restaurant, the St Tudno Hotel is a culinary pleasure to visit.

They provide an absolutely excellent and very varied selection of Michelin-starred meals which have won nationwide praise and helped the hotel and Llandudno by extension stay elevated on the map. If you’re after great views, brilliant service, wonderful food and a completely picture perfect seaside experience, than St Tudno is a fantastic choice of accommodation.
