The Welsh Federation of Sea Anglers expressed an interest to the Federation Internationale de Peche Sportive – (The governing body for shore angling) to host the World Shore Angling championships in Wales 2018.
This is an annual event hosted by the Nations Associated with FIPS-Mer. The world governing body for competitive sea angling. It governs a total of 15 different world championships annually across shore boat and big game angling.
This historic event for North Wales will be taking place across Conwy County and the North Coast of Wales. It means that teams from all over the globe will come together in order to participate in not only the competition, but also the angling and fishing maritime culture that is such an integral part of Wales’ culture.
