North Wales Beer FestivalThe inaugural North Wales Beer Festival 2013 is getting underway at Glyndwr University’s Racecourse Stadium, in what will be an even of taste, entertainment and plenty of beer!

The event is run by CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) and will showcase over 50 different beers predominantly from North Wales and Cheshire – and hopes to attract hundreds of real ale enthusiasts from the area. One of the beers on offer is the McGiverns Bridge Pale, that is brewed by previous winners of the CAMRA Pub of the Year The Bridge End, Ruabon.

Glyndwr’s Centenary Club will host the event where anyone that wants to go can gain entry for £3. The Beer Festival will have a fantastic range of hot and cold food, along with some cider – and of course beer and real ale!

The winner of the North Wales Beer of the Year will also be announced, with plenty of opportunities to try it.

The beers will be flowing from 7pm to 11pm tonight (Friday 10th May), with alternative times tomorrow (Saturday 11th May) at Noon to 4pm and 7pm to 11pm again.
