As one of the most popular seaside towns in North Wales, Rhyl has a reputation for being one of the best places to be for entertainment and activities in the region and rightly so.

Rhyl is a very popular holiday resort on the North Coast, by the mouth of the river Clwyd. It is famous as “Sunny Rhyl” and its title is apt as it has a lot of sunny days a year. The town can be reached from Chester by train in 40 minutes and from London in 4 hours. Apart from its sunshine, Rhyl is famous for its glorious beaches and brilliant pier fun.

Geography

Rhyl is easily located on a map and is part of a “belt” of towns along the North Wales coast. Travelling through Abergele, Pensarn or Towyn will lead you to Rhyl as most roads from any of those locations can lead you this charming seaside town.

The high street is bustling with well-known household names and popular brands, such as Boots and WHSmith along with some hidden little boutique gems. However, the place to be is the White Rose shopping centre which offers all the big names you’d find on the high street in one easy place.

Events on in Rhyl

The definite place to be for all your days and nights of entertainment is the Rhyl Pavilion Theatre: a historic and wildly popular venue that continues to bring in the big names. Each year, it pulls in thousands of visitors who are eager to see a whole variety of talent and star turns.

As well as this, Rhyl also holds endurance events and is renowned for the testing 10 mile trail in February.
