North Wales loves food. And drink for that matter. After visiting any of these events, you’ll see for yourself the splendour of North Wales produce, people and locations. From scrumptious seafood to magnificent meats, North Wales is home to some of the most excellent home produce across most food and drink categories. Whether you want to try some of the award winning Welsh sausages, or simply want to sample a fine Welsh ale, North Wales is the place to be. Without further ado, here is the list of some of the biggest and best food festivals in the region.

Real Ale Trail

A one day festival that celebrates the best of real Welsh ale among a glorious environment. The Real Ale Pass will allow you to hop on and off the festivals own bus to yours heart content. There is a circuit of charming welsh pubs, whereby one will even try and help you learn some welsh! TBC September 2017

Denbigh St David’s Day Festival

A very lively celebration of the patron saint of Wales, St David. This celebration will feature a plentiful array of local foods, traditional dress ups, music, dancing, talks and crafts. This will be an opportunity to enjoy Wales’ finest hour. TBC March 2017

Llyn Land and Seafood Festival

A scrumptious food festival taking place in the glorious Pwllheli Marina over the bank holiday weekend at the end of May. A range of independent and local producers will come together to offer fantastic foods from land and sea. TBC May 2017

Wrexham Food Festival

Taking place in May, the new two-day event will raise funds for a local hospice, whilst promoting the local food initiative – raising the profile of gorgeous welsh produce; from tender lamb, fresh trout and juicy fruits, to award winning sausages and pork pies. TBC May 2017

Anglesey Beer Festival

A two day beer festival that combines fundraising for local causes, whilst offering the chance to enjoy fabulous local Welsh beers, ales and ciders. Set up by a local group, you are able to get inside knowledge on the best beers in town. There will be space to pitch up tents for those that wish to enjoy an evening of ale, knowing they have somewhere to lay their head nearby! TBC 2017

Anglesey Oyster and Produce Festival

Oysters are famously cultivated in the Menai Strait and are very much given the attention they deserve at this two day event, that takes place at the Trearddur Bay Hotel near Holyhead. However, those that may not enjoy shellfish so much can rest assured that there is a lot more to this event than just these. A wide range of welsh produce including, meat, dairy, seafood and traditional foods will be open to enjoy, while  you can also get your fix of arts and crafts. TBC 2017

Conwy Honey Fair

September sees one of the oldest food fairs in North Wales return for its annual event, taking place in the medieval walled town of Conwy. As you’d expect, there will be some gorgeous honey on sale, whereby over a ton of it is sold by lunch time! Alongside this honey, you can find many other produce and crafts that have been made and sourced locally. TBC September 2017

Gwledd Conwy Feast

Every October, the annual Honey Fair is soon followed up with a big food bonanza! Bringing together the best produce of North Wales, the Conwy Feast is just that! A plethora of foods from meat, fish and seafood, to fruits, vegetables and local ales that will create a joyful, yummy and happy atmosphere. TBC October 2017

Mold Food and Drink Festival

The Mold Food Festival is another excellent opportunity to try fantastic local welsh produce, from artisan yogurt, welsh baked goods and local honey from passionate beekeepers. On Saturday afternoon, contenders for the Flintshire Chef of the Year award will get cooking up a storm in front of a judging panel and live audience, providing real tasty entertainment. Hamper Llangollen

A weekend that brings together over 100 exhibitors, from butchers, bakers and chocolatiers, to celebrity chefs, brewers and fisheries. Situated in the famous town of Llangollen, there will be something for everyone in this famously beautiful Welsh town. TBC October 2017
