The festival was begun as a council funded programme to bring major events to the area, while encouraging visitors from across the UK to visit Colwyn Bay and surrounding area to allow them to discover what a wonderful area it is, and the exciting range of events and establishments that originate here.

Previous years festivals have benefited businesses around Colwyn Bay with around £300,000 being brought into the area each year, which can be reinvested to ensure the festival can become self-sustaining and can get better year after year.

As one of the biggest events of the region, there is always lots of excitement and hype drawn up in the weeks leading to the concert, creating a buzz across the North Wales region. This has made the area a perfect holiday destination for those after a real holiday destination in the UK for anyone after that summer holiday feeling!

When combined with the state of the art sport and leisure facility upgrades that Colwyn Bay has endured, along with its newly erected sports centre, permanent beach and awesome weather, this is definitely the place to be.
