Every Abersoch Jazz festival so far has been an amazing success, and 2013 looks like it will be bigger and better than ever. Taking place in September on Friday 27th – Sunday 29th with a change to a more conventional set up, with fewer venues but on a much grander scale than witnessed in previous years.

The festival is designed with the intention of bringing in a much broader audience in.

This year sees new musicians to the festival Kevin Grenfell’s Jazz Giants, The Brownfield Byrne Hot 6, Merseysippi Jazz Band and The Formidable Finnbar McCarthy Band. Along with a selection of returning musicians and bands including the likes of Red Stripe, TJ Johnson and his band, Deeside Dixies and many more.

This year looks like its going to be the most memorable year yet, if you have been before, you’ll know from experience not to miss this one, if you haven’t then there is no better time to start!

At the low price of £42 for a weekend stroller ticket, you’d be silly to not come and see such a fine collection of musicians and have an incredible time in a spectacular location.

Last year the event was cancelled due to other international events that were taking place, but that only means that the energy that would have been spend on that festival has been saved and is being wholeheartedly poured into this year’s. 2011 saw all our familiar acts really giving out the festival spirit; with laughs memories and friendship everywhere.

Whether you are an avid jazz fan, or just someone who’s looking for a pleasant couple of days out with a peaceful and happy atmosphere and a nice soundtrack then this is surely the perfect place for you. The festival welcomes all.
